Ovarian cancer is abnormal cell growth that starts in the ovaries.

What Are the Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer?

If you have ovarian cancer, you might experience some of the following signs and symptoms:

  • Bleeding or discharge coming when you are not on your period—or especially after you have already finished menopause
  • Pain or discomfort in the pelvis
  • Pain in your belly
  • Pain in your back
  • Feeling full very quickly or having trouble eating
  • Having to urinate more, constipation, or other changes in your bathroom habits

If you experience any of these symptoms, don’t hesitate to talk to your gynecologist or healthcare provider and get checked out. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.

How is Ovarian Cancer Treated?

If you have ovarian cancer, the treatment plan your doctor designs for you may include one or more of the following:
